CommonEd is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving education through the involvement of teachers, students, and families as key stakeholders. We believe that by working together, we can create an effective and more inclusive educational system for all children.
Our mission is to:
Conduct research and develop innovative solutions to educational challenges
Provide professional development and support to educators
Engage families and communities in the education of their children
Advocate for policies that support high-quality education for all
The United States education system is facing a number of challenges, including:
Widening achievement gaps between students from different socioeconomic backgrounds
High rates of teacher turnover
Lack of parental involvement
Inadequate funding
These challenges are making it difficult for all children to succeed in school.
CommonEd believes that the best way to address these challenges is to involve all stakeholders in the education of children. We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and effective educational system for all.
Our approach is based on the following principles:
Collaboration: We believe that the best solutions are created when all stakeholders work together. We will partner with teachers, students, families, and communities to develop and implement innovative solutions to educational challenges.
Evidence-based practice: We will use research and data to inform our work. We will conduct research and develop programs that are based on evidence-based practices.
Equity: We believe that all children deserve access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background. We will work to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed in school.
